dubnet 238
@@spirilis That would be a lot of swaps! If I can just keep a tool chain alive to support the black boards then I would be happy.
USWaterRockets 57
The previous FR5968 swapout was for "early adopters". Not sure how many that covered. I had at least one of my MSP432 Launchpads before they went on sale.
RobG 1,892
Black MSP432 LP used XMS silicon, so it was obvious that sooner or later the board will be updated and $4.32 sale was a signal of the coming change. greeeg
Fred 453
It's good that these are out of beta, but the big unanswered question is what is happening with the MSP432 range? There are still no new devices since the original 2 came out. There aren't any new Tiva devices that I know of either.
EdoNork 10
My red version uses XMS silicon too, but it is the version C, same as the production IC.

Looks like the XMS rev C is a minor pre-production release, whose differences from production are: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaz691a/slaz691a.pdf tripwire

I heard some rumors about new parts coming, and some new features which were a surprise to me. Definitely not something I can prove easily, but it ties back to something I wanted a while ago. I hope we hear something more solid soon. spirilis, tripwire and Fred
zeke 693
Has anyone replaced the MSP432 on their LaunchPad yet? If so then how did it go?
carlb 4
Has anyone replaced the MSP432 on their LaunchPad yet? If so then how did it go? I replaced all of mine (about 5 minutes of work each). I've confirmed that blinky works. zeke
