gwdeveloper 275
Any of you guys attending one of these? http://www.em.avnet.com/evs/home/0,1707,RID%253D0%2526CID%253D64864%2526CCD%253DUSA%2526SID%253D32214%2526DID%253DDF2%2526LID%253D32233%2526BID%253DDF2%2526CTP%253DEVS,00.html $25 for a wireless workshop that includes breakfast, training, lunch and a chronos watch doesn't seem like a bad deal. I signed up for the Austin workshop. Hope to see a few of you other Austin 43oh guys there. Any idea when will 43oh t-shirts be available?
bluehash 1,581
o_O.. good call. I'm registering for Boston. Any idea when will 43oh t-shirts be available? ! Never expected that. If there is interest, then why not. Maybe a T-shirt design competition.
gwdeveloper 275
Yeah man. I'd wear a 43oh shirt to the seminars, workshops and other geeky locations. You should definitely do it as some sort of contest. I'm not much a designer but I'm sure there's a few users on here that could whip something up. I can toss something into a prize pool if you'll do the shirts in 100% cotton -it's hot here in central TX.
gwdeveloper 275
The seminar was pretty cool. The labs for the cc430 let us build a Chronos to Chronos app that was pretty cool. And wouldn't you know it, the guy sitting next me won the Metawatch they were raffling. Argh. Met the TI guy that designed the MSP-EXP430F5529, he's the Digital Field App guy here in Austin. If anyone is interested, the 50% off codes are at http://www.em.avnet.com/ARMsitara and http://www.em.avnet.com/ARMstellaris zeke and bluehash
bluehash 1,581
Nice update. The Sitara's are a bit expensive for me to buy even after the discount. But thanks!
gwdeveloper 275
Yeah, no joke. I looked up the prices while in the seminar. Almost choked on my free sandwich. Was really hoping to score a beagleboard on the cheap. Or the new upcoming, MSP-EXPCC430

I've got to say that I think that the MSP-EXP430F5529 is a really great board. It does just about everything and it's becoming my MSP430 board of choice. Props to the guy that you met at the seminar. I'm working on porting some code over to MSPGCC. So far, it seems to be playing nicely with the board.

gwdeveloper 275
Yeah, they're charging $25 for the class. The watch is free. I attended the class in Austin last week and made sure to eat at least $25 in carrot cake muffins, tuna sandwiches, coffee and lemonade.
bluehash 1,581
Sorry... I may be mistaken then. I did not see a $25 fee on their detail page.
zeke 693
The fee is there. It's in tiny font. Cheeky Monkeys.
