Has anyone tried STM32 F1 series?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I got my hands on 3 STM32F1 discovery boards that people have gaven to me since they don't want it and I use STM32.
Well so far I only used STM32 F0 and F4. Besides the fact the MCUs on those boards is a bit under powered compared to others in the series, I have noticed some diferences in the standard peripheral library.

My question is, does anyone have tips on what to watch for when using the Standard peripheral library on the F1 series. I even encountered some problems with using the template in IAR since the Core M3 cmsis is not updated.

There's some kinda nice boards in ebay for the F1 and I am thinking of using them. There seems to be also now some F0 but they are more expensive.

Thanks rickta59, I will check it out. The updates seems interesting, though they usually don't have many due to the cube :P

Cube is a bit clunky right now. When starting it seems better but I see so many bug reports all over the forums...
