Have feedback for TI? Please share here.

I guess my age shows here. Long time ago in another universe, Luminary Micro came up with driverLib for Cortex-M3, They were selling it back then as an abstract porting layer.

What ? 5-6 years ago ? heh. " back in the day when dinosaurs were young . . ." Yes, we have an LM3S* kit here too that had the OLED screen on it. At the time it was one of 2-3 kits out there that had ethernet on the board.  Anyway, they're not that old. But perhaps are archaic by todays standards. I never liked driverlib either.

Hello All, Here is some feedback. Apologies on the late reply.   There was approximately an hour to field our questions/requests. On a few questions that were not asked, I have an open channel with

Hello 43oh Members and Guests! In a few weeks, I'll have a chance to meet people within TI. Among them are those who work on the Launchpad platform, marketing, web team and designers of their micro-c

The biggest flaw with standardizing on an Arduino Driver lib is precisely because it encourages people to NOT learn about the underlying hardware. As soon as they try to connect up a peripheral with a

Some more support for the CC2650 Launchpad would be nice. The SimpleLink Starter android app mentioned in the quick start guide still doesn't exist. The board has some potential but seems to have been released before things were ready.

A few things-

Bring Energia support to all Launchpad boards.

More / better support for MSP430/432 and TM4C peripherals with regards to Launchpad boards supported by Energia. What I mean by that is that if a chip is on an LP which Energia supports, provide libraries that can support at least "basic" functionality of all the chip's peripherals in the Energia framework.

Tutorials about how to utilize MSPWare and TivaWare from within Energia.

Tutorials about how to transition from Energia to Code Composer Studio.

I wished that TI had something like an ATtiny85 so I could make simple USB gizmos.

In a similar context It would be nice if TI had something like the Atmel ATBTLC1000.

An MCU with BLE built in, that costs less than $3usd, in single quantities.

EDIT

I think that ideally, an MSP430 value line processor with BLE would be outrageously awesome. The perfect IoT MCU.

Doesn't the CC2650 cover the BLE bit? It's not an MSP430, but there's a launchpad available. A little bit more in the way of guidance (especially if you want to go 6LoWPAN) could make it just as easy to use.

Yes, something smaller than the LaunchPad form factor, one even slimmer than the USB dongle style F2013 dev stick, like this:

This could be a deviation from the LP line, but:

1. A form factor like this is definitely great for USB gizmos

2. Easier to be accepted by someone completely new to MCU than a development board

3. Greatly reduce packaging, can even probably be shipped in envelops (no USB cable needed), to get someone a taste of programming an MCU (even though it is just a blink of LED as out of the box experience), and arouse their interest to move on to the LP dev boards.
