I2C Read and Write not working?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to read and write data from an OV6630 I2C camera module with my TIVA C connected series. After searching, reading manuals, and playing around with my code I'm unsure why it isn't working. Does anyone here have a suggestion as to why it might not be working?

For reference, here's the code: http://pastebin.com/Jy1pAxwm

I'm using TI's CCS 5.4 on a Windows 8.1 machine.

Also, do you know why it doesn't work? Does the code get stuck somewhere?

That board has a know bug (or watever this error is called), the processor is actually too fast for the i2c so many examples don't work. The problem is most have a while() that relies on the I2C busy flag. Well normally it waits for the flag to say that the i2c is not busy, meaning it already sent something. Problem is in the TM4C1294 it goes past that while() before the flag is set to busy, so after when you are reading stuff from the FIFO, or sending, the I2C is actually busy.
