How can i use uart to exchange data other microcontroller

Recommended Posts

Should be doable, set up the UART in the beaglebone (find other documents on how to do that), hook the beaglebone's UART TX line to the Stellaris's RX line and vice versa (beaglebone RX line to Stellaris TX line), then hook the Grounds (GND) together.

They both run at 3.3V so you won't need any level shifters.

Scrambled/garbled data. A connection is a circuit; it's not enough to just connect a wire to another, they have to form a loop somehow. GND works as the negative side of the circuit so they don't try using the other data line as the return loop which could cause corruption.
