Beagle Bone Black as Rtl-SDR front end with GQRX

Recommended Posts

Brad Bowers has managed to run GQRX on the BeagleBone Black smoothly with rtl_tcp running on a server.

There have been some vids of people using a raspi for the backend of a Rtl-SDR tcp setup. Sine the pi doesn't have the horse power to run the frontend I'd thought I'd give the BBB a try. It works great as a front end running Kali Linux and Gqrx. When plugged into an external screen the tracking is smooth and stable. In this video I'm running rtl_tcp server on a laptop and the front end on a BBB with Gqrx.
