New Tiva C board coming

Recommended Posts

Looks like it has Boosterpack connector and Ethernet

Hope they price is reasonable like their Launchpads.  Many of their non-Launchpads development boards are not priced for the hobbyist.

It's now released for $199, oh well http://www.ti.com/tool/dk-tm4c129x

Teaser video here http://www.ti.com/ww/en/mcu/dk-tm4c129x/whatsnew.shtml?DCMP=tivac-tm4c129x

Now, if they would just release a bare bones board like the Launchpad with one of the larger chips I'd be happy.  I don't need an LCD, Ethernet jack, or any of that crap, I need a board with a crap ton of GPIO pins and maybe a status LED :(

Hmm, and datasheet only available with NDA, blaming export controls :-(

But don't be scared, at least with my TI account, stating to be hobbyist and having a US address, self-certification went through without a hitch.

Agree with Rickta59 - pricing seems unusual.

What does this do that couldn't do with Beaglebone black, or Rasp Pi, or STM 32F429IDISCOVERY (which has an LCD with touch).

For that matter, get all three for just a little over half the cost of this board.

I had no idea the STM32F429IDISCOVERY existed, despite having most of the other STM discovery boards. That was a great filler to bump an order up to £20 for free shipping. Thanks @@igor.
