Well, I think I know what happened here... you need to add the Tiva board to your wishlist and then order it. I think I saw the picture at the bottom of the page and added it to the cart not realizing

Coming soon:   https://estore.ti.com/Tiva-C-LaunchPad.aspx

Spotted at the latest Stellaris LM4F120H5QR Rev A1/A3/B0 Errata document dated April 2013, weird huh ?     Link -> http://www.ti.com/lit/er/spmz611g/spmz611g.pdf

Curious if this new Arm Cortex M4 (without the F suffix) will be the cheaper version from their M4-F brethren ?

I can not find any reference to this Tiva C Series TM4C1233H6PM mcu at TI site.

Edit :

Ok, blame it on my itching impulse nerves  , lets see what happened in next 6 weeks.

Ok, its confirmed, Tiva is the new name and all LM4xx part numbers will be replaced with new TM4xxx.

Source , Tiva C Series ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers ->  http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/spmt284

Also in the new datasheet for TM4C123GH6PM (available thru TI site) used in this new Tiva Launchpad, stated it is identical to LM4F230H5QR, go figure. So now it has built in PWM and QEI module that Stellaris Launchpad doesn't have since its using lower end chip LM4F120H5QR.

So no more "Stellaris" ?

Also USB OTG (assuming it is same as LM4F230H5QR).  Wonder if they will upgrade the connector to OTG.

Hi,

been away for some days and returned today, visited the TI website and: What the hell is going on there! Took me quite some time to figure out that Stellaris M4F is now Tiva!

All 'old' Stellaris parts were gone (although none of them wnet into full production) and all new Tiva devices. I hope there will be a comparison chart in the NEAR future showing the relationsship Tiva product numer >-> Stellaris M4F designation.

Just checked the 'Launchpad' and figured out that the Tiva™ TM4C123GH6PM Microcontroller is identical to LM4F230H5QR. Well, not bad since you now get hardware PWM on the Launchpad, but: I'm quite happy I only spend $4.99 for my 'old LM4F120.. based' Launchpads (believe me, I have some of them).

Hopefully the also made some bugfixed and not only changed the part numbering/printing.

I expect the 'new' Tiva Launchpad to be the same hardware as the old one since they only mount another device. Changing the connector to OTG should'n be a big problem.

So it's more like a new name now the device is out of beta. I wonder when you'll actually be able to order the chips as I don't believe you ever could with the Stellaris.

I don't have access to a full data sheet yet but they should have floating point.  Just a name and part number change.

Obviously some idiots will click "buy" without even knowing what they're ordering. I just got an estimated ship date of 30th April.

Hehe.. I have to come up with a new name for the site.. any pointers?

I always liked ArmHQ! It'll save you having to change it again anyway.  ;)
