vicvelcro 16
I received my Stellaris on December 26, 2012 which was shipped on December 21, 2012. It is an LX4F120H and the middle line is 5QRFIGA3. Looks like an A3...
bgolab 0
Rev A3 is still shipped - at least by TI distributor in Poland.Bogdan
zborgerd 62
Interesting. If the consipracy theories are correct, it's a pretty brilliant way to get hobbyists to test a new chip to gear up 6 months ahead of shipping the production version.
bgolab 0
Try to google "LX4F120". All results pointing ti.com are broken (you canno access the content - it seems to be removed). Interesting... Bogdan
bgolab 0
BTW. Just wanted to order another board today - they still ask for Company Name. So it seems that they do not aim only hobbyst. If they want professionals to play with the board they should refresh the processor as the A3 is pretty old and defective. I also use the STM32F100RB (Discovery board). The ST publishes a list of so called processor "limitation" (i.e. defects) but you can't (at least me) find any information what release the particular defect is fixed in. Rei Vilo 695
I've also two LX4F120H5QR-based Stellaris LaunchPads and I'm experiencing some issues with MISO on SPI ports 1 and 3 on Energia. Does anyone experience the same problem whatever the IDE used, or is it specific to Energia? timotet 44
Im using the rev A board with SSI2 and SSI3. I've had no noticable problems. Although I did remove the 0ohm resistors to be able to use the SSI2 port with robGs 2.2" LCD boosterpack. Im using the SSI3 port to talk to bluehash's SD card booster pack. (modified to work with SSI3 port pins). All seems to work as expected.
