Look what TI sent over to review...

Take a good look at the USB device connector. Is it a Micro B (device) or a Micro AB (device/OTG host)?

Stellaris Lauchpad User Manual (SPMU289) says it is Micro B.

The recent Project 0 video says it is Micro AB.

That's a Big box (Probably for the female headers on the bottom),

  1. Any idea what the emulator is, perhaps a reprogrammed Ez430?
  2. Any software included in the box?
  3. Is the silicon production or experimental?
  4. One or two USB cables?
  5. More importantly, any stickers?

Guest Stellarisiti

- It's the same size as the other Launchpad boxes

1. Emulator is a Stellaris LX4f120H

2. No software included in box, like the other LPs. There is a link to the Stellaris page printed on the box.

3. Silicon is rev A3

4. One USB cable. Be careful not to loose this one as it is the micro kind.

5. No stickers.

Regarding Micro B vs Micro AB. The Project 0 video is wrong.

There has been some misinformation. The LM4F120 on the LaunchPad is a device only part, no OTG or host capability. The connector is Micro B. Same as on most android and blackberries.

What you say seems to be true. That's unfortunate. It would be awesome if we could plug our USB sticks into it.
