Schematic symbols for Eagle and the MSP430

Recommended Posts

The TI site posted an erroneous link to this resource, after contacting TI tech support they sent me the correct link (the TI site hasn't been corrected yet - this was a week ago):

http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac060e

The parent page is http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MSP430_Schematic_and_Layout_documents

Cheers.

There are many threads about Eagle files, which link directly to a version of the document, and then that link gets broken when the document is updated to a new version. Unfortunately that particular file does not have a landing page like some other files do. This is a general issue with TI and another one is with capitalization of letters in links. So, when the link is dead, try searching for the file without version, like slac060, when you see something like SLAC060, change to lower case.

Another example is the Family User's Guide, slau144, which is now version h.

The best thing is to go to the part page and find the link under the Software and Development Tools section, for example here's the one for 2231

I also came across a few links with the pattern http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/xxxx where "pdf" should have been "zip" so this is also something I try when a link is broken. These guys need to run a web crawler on their own site to look for dead links... On the positive side I found TI's tech support really responsive.
