Fred 453
I suppose it's no surprise that there's a booster pack to help take advantage of the IR features of the new FR2x and FR4x series. http://www.ti.com/tool/boost-ir Also available as a bundle with a FR4133 LaunchPad http://www.ti.com/tool/msp-bndl-fr4133ir dubnet
adrianF 43
I haven't tried it yet, but I suppose the existing Energia IR library should work with this hardware as well by leveraging a generic PWM pin VS using the specific IR features of the FR2xx/FR4xx devices. asgard20032 9
Interesting, this make me want t try this out. If the default library don't take advantage of internal peripheral, then i could make a specialized library for it, or modify the existing one to be able to take advantage of the underlying hardware. spirilis 1,265
The thing is the FR4133 LP isn't supported by Energia at the moment so any LP you use with Energia won't have the native peripheral anyway. Sent from my Note 10.1 tablet using Tapatalk

Adrian according to the user guide there is a jumper to select between using the hardware IR pin offered on certain msp430 devices vs pin 19 on the boosterpack header
