What am I going to do with ...

Recommended Posts

One of my clients was clearing out old electronics stock. They invited me to come down and claim whatever I wanted out of the recycling bin.

Of the many things that I found, this is what 229 Atmel ATMEGA16L-8AU processors look like:

Now I have to figure out what to make with them.

You guys are brutal!

There's no way they would cover a coffee table. Maybe a serving tray but not a coffee table.

I know nothing about the ATMEGA16, but (assuming it's not a worthless old piece of junk) you've probably got only three realistic options:

- This is now your "go to" chip for basic projects

- Sell them on eBay

- Think up a Kickstarter or other saleable project that uses them

All kinds of great ideas...but how about something in the spirit of 43oh? Perhaps tying a couple of them together and writing some software to emulate a MSP430?
