amirchaudhary 0
Hi, I got a CC3200 Launchpad and i installed CCS 6 and uniflash as per the TI website. I installed Energia as I am already working Arduino, now connected the launchpad and done connections SOP2 with the J8 pin as ur website. now i successfully loaded the sketch in the launchpad but it is not responding to any programs. Programmed the board with blink sketch and it uploaded successfully but it did not respond. Do i have to remove any jumper or short any pins. Please Guide!!!!!
spirilis 1,265
You did the required service pack upgrade using the Uniflash for CC3xxx software right?
energia 485
What is the version of the board?
USWaterRockets 57
What would be the advantage of using the CC3200 over one of those little wifi SOM boards that come out of China? Does the CC3200 have leftover bandwidth to do more complex tasks?
dubnet 238
It does. It has an ARM Cortex-M4 running @ 80Mhz. You can read more about the chip here: http://www.ti.com/product/cc3200
spirilis 1,265
SSL support, built in webserver with GET/POST tokens handled by thr Cortex-M4 MCU, etc. Probably much faster I/O since those cheapo Chinese boards use 115200bps UART.
spirilis 1,265
Note CC3100 has all this too so you can use it with any MCU you want. The CC3200's wifi network processor is the same as the CC3100, just in the CC3200 it's in the same chip as the MCU.
