I see you also stumbled on the reprogramming of the BSL. Glad you worked it all out in the end. I am packing p2p boards with paper http://forum.43oh.com/topic/2972-sbw-msp430f550x-based-programmer/?p=42850 BTW, MSP430F5529 is the same device as MSP430F5528, but it is in bigger QFP package, that can be used for p2p without adapter.
