Please upload images - what does that mean?

Recommended Posts

What does the announcement asking that we please upload images, rather than linking to images stored elsewhere mean?

http://forum.43oh.com/forum-8/announcement-3-please-upload-images-to-43oh-photobucketimgurdropbox-links-are-not-allowed/

Specifically how are we supposed to upload images - does that mean attaching them?

The image tool on the edit bar asks for a URL, so I assume that is what we are not supposed to use?

(If so, is there any way you can customize that tool so that when the box pops up asking for the URL it also has a

reminder that uploading images is preferred?)

 Thanks

Hi igor, thank you for your concern.

As greeed said, "upload" means "attach". I've updated the title of the announcement and also added images.

Unfortunately, I cannot change the editor icons.

I just noticed that the announcement is missing the pictures that explain how to upload images. Were they linked in from an external site? ;)

No.. it was from an attached image. The announcement editor is a little different from the usual post editor.

Fixed. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. @@tripwire

I don't see any images (in either Chrome & IE)
