TIVA Drivers Work When Downloaded from TI

Recommended Posts

So far I have been able to get Energia running well on Mac OS (less than 5  minutes including download time) and Windows XP (NOT less than 5 minutes :-)).

In my experience downloading and installing (attempting to at least) the drivers from the Energia Windows instructions page does not work. Can't communicate with the device.

I was able to get it to work by downloading the Stellaris drivers directly from TI and following their installation instructions.

What you need can be found at the TI http://www.ti.com/tool/stellaris_icdi_drivers'>Stellaris

Thanks for the report! What issues did you have with the drivers from the Energia getting started page http://energia.nu/Guide_Windows.html?

The driver download pointed to on the energia.nu site  (http://energia.nu/files/spmc016.zip) is the same file as the one on the TI Stellaris/TivaC Driver page: http://www.ti.com/tool/stellaris_icdi_drivers (http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/spmc016).

Well, according to my memory, there are actually three driver links on your Windows instruction page. Two of them download with an installer inside them and the third one does not (so I did not know what to do with those). Also, unless I just missed some important instructions, the installation procedure given at TI is the typical Windows wizard-invoked method. All I know is, I had to go that route before I could get the TIVA to work.
