40 Male->Female jumpers - $3.99

Recommended Posts

Found these at one of my favorite stores for small parts: http://www.taydaelectronics.com/premium-jumper-wires-female-male-200mm-pack-of-40.html.  Tried to find some one eBay a while back and couldn't find a good source.

Great for breadboarding with the LP.  Thought @@LariSan might be interested in using them for classes - 20 would be enough for a student.

Elecrow has a excellent price but their webpage is having problems. Each time I add the same product to the cart it appears as a different product on the cart like wrapping wire or bread board or other product with different price.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

@@pyrosster - Wow - I'm seeing the same thing.  I sent something in via their contact form - I've always had good luck with replies from them.  I've only ever used them for pcbs and kitting - not sure if their store has been buggy but I'd guess it's something new.

That's so much better than the 9.99 I was paying at adafruit :smile: thank you!

Ouch - that's a lot more!  I've been using mine for a few days now - they're good quality (and not smelly - a lot of the ones i get off of eBay smell like gasoline).

I found some other items at Tayda, and with reasonable shipping. Nice!

Thanks for mentioning Tayda!

@@tingo - Yes - they're a great place to pick up a lot of small items.  They've started adding a lot of nice items lately as well - alligator clips, breadboards, etc.  They regularly post coupons on their facebook page as well - usually once a month.

For those that are curious, I did a little "tear-down" on a TIP35C from Tayda Electronics using nitric acid and a hotplate. Usually, fake power transistors have tiny signal transistor dies inside a large case. These have the real deal large power transistor dies, which when included with some other internal features that I compared to a blown real one made me conclude that they are selling real deal TIP35Cs. Mind you to get their price at digikey or mouser I would have had to purchase 2000-10000 of them.

Do you have pics of the tear down?

By the way, I just noticed one of my favorite ebay sellers has these as well:

Frankie is awesome, he lives in HK so shipping is via HK post which tends to arrive much faster than China Post. Additionally, he is a stand up guy who participates a lot on the EEVBlog forum (as well as MJLortons forum). I know dozens of people which have purchased UT61E multimeters from him. His way of selecting stuff to sell in the store is that he purchases some stuff first, tries them out and if they are good quality he lists them. He tries to avoid gimmicky cheap feeling crap so I have a feelign these will be good though I haven't purchased them myself from him. Just a heads up for those that care (he also sells a few DMMs, silicone multimeter wire, connectors, etc.)
