Windows Programming?

Look at QSerialDevice for APIs.

I'm learning QT in my spare time.

Have you read this QT tutorial on serial port usage yet?

 

I thought we could embrace and extend it to our needs.

 

I have a book here "Programming Embedded Systems in C and C++" by Michael Barr. It's an old book now. The devkit he uses is from a company that doesn't exist anymore (Arcom).

 

In chapter 9, he discusses his implementation of a serial port class and some class methods (putc(), puts(), etc). I was thinking that they might be useful in QT for doing our own custom serial protocols.
