any rechargeable batteries Lithium Ion for robot

Recommended Posts

Looking for some light weight, rechargeable batteries that may be suitable to power up to 18 servos for at least 30 minutes, running semi-continuously.

R/C LiPos can be very affordable, and convenient with wires broken out, but be aware they almost never include over-current or discharge protection.  And given that even small packs are capable of delivering tens of amps when shorted, you need to be *very* careful not to short them!

True. The only investment @@orso2020 would need to do is a charger. I have the hobbyking accucel charger.

You can easily build charging into your own pcb. I use the MCP73831 chip. Handles all the nitty gritty of charging for you. It can handle up to 500 ma charging current internally, although you could use it to control a larger external circuit for larger charging currents
