JWoodrell 285
I uploaded the file to shapeways to see how much it would cost to have them make it.If your OK with it, I will post the link here so people can get these printed for themselves. here are the prices they quotes for me. (i tried to PM you, but it says you can't get any more messages)
chicken 630
What a great idea, every dev board needs that! Does Shapeways do soft, heat resistant silicone?
simpleavr 399
lol they cost more than the LP itself (old price). any chance for quantity discount?
JWoodrell 285
no silicone, the "strong and flexible" is a sintered nylon powder that is about 80% as strong as normal molded plastic. it has some flex you would expect from nylon, but not like squishy silicone. probably not, their pricing is based on volume of plastic used, so more pieces is just more volume

PentiumPC 119
No problem, actually it is a good idea. I don't mind printing some but I am located in Singapore, shipping with not make any sense here. Price for shape-ways comes includes shipping? JWoodrell 285
they only ship UPS so they charge $6.50 for US shipping (per order not per piece so if you order alot, its still 6.50 for the "order") $9.50 for shipping to the EU, and $20 for the rest of the world. http://www.shapeways.com/model/1110493/msp430-launchpad-bumper-v5.html is the link, I'll set all the nylon material options available, because i doubt anyone wants a stainless steel version, and the "high detail" plastics wouldn't have any benefit to this (the top of the page says "Design by JWoodrell" but that is just cause I uploaded it under my account. I can't change it.) PentiumPC
PentiumPC 119
Dont worry about that.. haha. (the top of the page says "Design by JWoodrell" but that is just cause I uploaded it under my account. I can't change it.) If bluehash allows, I can print and sell some, cover some plastic cost, of course Shapeway's quality will be better. $2 each + $2 for handling + shipping + packaging, (air mail should less than $3 - 6 to 12 days, i have to check) Will send some to bluehash for POTM give aways. Fred, LariSan and bluehash

rockets4kids 204
Is there a lip or catch which holds the board in place? Or is it held in place by friction alone?
