GRACE Installation Problem

Recommended Posts

I got all the way through to the actuall "install all" phase and got an "access denied" error on my Windows 7 Pro Home (64) laptop. Could this be because I installed CCSv4 in the directory instead of the directory?

Cheerful regards, Mike

Yes, I'm the Admin.

I just remembered I had to turn off User Access Controls to install CCSv4, but then I turned them back on. Maybe I'll turn them off and try again...

That did it. It's installed!

Thank you Gentlemen...

Cheerful regards, Mike

Also, run the installer as Admin (right-click->"Run as administrator"). Worked on my Win7 32-bit machine.

Forgive me. I don't understand. Right-click what exactly?

 Sorry, I did kind of leave that out...

Right click the installation file (either in a file explorer window, or the icon, if you saved it to your desktop). The menu should include a choice to "Run as administrator". I used that, rather than shutting down User Access Control (which I would forget to turn back on :? ).

Sounds like you got the installation to work anyway. Have you tried Grace? I installed it, but haven't had occasion to use it yet.
