SugarAddict 227
I've been thinking about doing it for things that I don't want to blow hot air on... Like the TiWi-SL module I got... That is going to be an interesting one to solder for me. Luckily, I just bought my mom a Silhouette Cameo so I can attempt my own stencil for it at some point too. Seriously thinking about hot plating it instead of hot air.
spirilis 1,265
That's how I plan to do it someday, hot plate with aluminum plate and some thermocouple/MSP430/AC relay driven temperature control system I guess...
thanhtran 10
Nice work! The little components with no marks are not fun to work with after you have disassembled them. I've been cooking QFN chips & boards on a small cooker. Smallest I can do is the Itg3200 gyro. Couple times it doesn't work the first time, and it requires another pass on the cooker with some tapping on the chip when the solder melt. I think putting a chunk of aluminum on it would be a good idea since it keeps the temperature steady.
gwdeveloper 275
Nice work. When you're doing these types of things, is your soundtrack starting with Styx' "too much time on my hands"? www.gwdeveloper.net Sent from Tapatalk...
