floridadrummer 1
I'm interested in some applications combining a microcontroller and wifi for home automation. My plan is to use an MSP430 with a cc3000 wifi module. I have started some high level functional block diagrams and am interested in any opinions on correctness and suggestions on specific 430 MCUs for the applications. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Alarm Panel Window Blinds Ceiling Fan Dog Door Garage Door Door Lock Pool Pump Water Heater

floridadrummer 1
Weird. They were not meant to be links at all and I can see them on my other computer and my ipad... Do you know what the problem could be? Also, thanks for the power relay boosterpack suggestion. That looks pretty awesome!

cubeberg 540
I can see the images just fine.
abecedarian 330
It must be TI's servers. First time I looked at the thread I saw "broken image" tokens / place holders. Came back 1/2 hour or so ago and saw images, but now broken image place holders again.
cubeberg 540
Wow - same here. Probably best to save them and post them in the thread. They might be blocking use of the images externally.
t0mpr1c3 91
automatic lights in the stairwell is something I'm looking at. probably PIR + timer. garage doors is a good wireless project but i can't justify the expense of the door opener when we never put the car in there
TheDirty 33
I can't see the images, but Wifi is a little much for a home automation node. The data requirements are pretty tiny. Most of these things just need to be turned off and on. A central Wifi server would be useful with a mesh network of simple RF modules. It's not MSP430, but the jeelabs.org site is really interesting to read for this.
roadrunner84 466
No images here either, I guess you've posted these images in a members only part of the E2E community. When clicking the images I get a 403 error: invalid credentials.
