2.2" Color LCD Booster Pack with Touch

Recommended Posts

Here is a non Energia hardware SPI optimized version for the G2553. Uses max speed for LCD and down clked for touch requests. Wrote some touch lib stuff & got rid of custom type defs.  Ensure you check the board version. "TSC chip select was moved from P2.2 to P2.1". I'm using P2.2 in my code.

Edit: Fixed Spi dwnclk. Also, no filtering yet.

I am working on a new color LCD booster pack featuring 2.2" display. The board will work with two types of displays, one with touch screen and one without. TSC2046/ADS7846 controller or MCU's analog

Another test, this time some simple on/off buttons. Once I polish this a little, I will add it to GitHub so that users can contribute.

If you're tight on budget, a cheap solution to using SD cards is soldering a  7 pin male header directly to the pins of a microSD-to-SD adapter. You can insert microSD cards just as you'd do normally.

Sorry to double post, hey RobG, think you could put a micro SD card on the next rev? Or atleast a pad for 1? Been working with SD cards as of late and i'd be cool to have the option of one of those as storage.

There probably better ones out here but heres a push/pull micro that is easy to hand solder: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/DM3D-SF/HR1941CT-ND/1786515 (footprint is abit painful though)

Could someone else chime in with a socket suggestion?

Here are few I might try

For standard SD card, I will be using this socket from now on.

First one.. push-push type sounds reasonable.
