Show up here at 9 AM Mountain Time on January 11th, 2012 to try your hand at winning!
kenemon 29
any hints for approaching this? I was continually hitting refresh last year, and wasnt able to complete the quiz in time. I did end up with a couple of small goodies however :|
cubeberg 540
It's random this year. You have to pass a CAPTCHA - each entry gives you a random chance to win. The new way is supposed to give everyone a chance as they'll be given away all day long.
SugarAddict 227
I wonder how much of doing this I can get away with at work... Or do you just sign up once?
zeke 693
Last year, I spent the whole day hammering the F5 key. By 2pm, it was all over. I had the Sparkfun IRC channel open in a seperate window because it gave me realtime information on the behind the scenes activities. I watched Sparkfun personnel chatter on about the melting webserver. It was like a running commentary/narration of the event ie: listening to the radio. I won't be participating tomorrow. A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. Or, in other words, I've gotta job now that pays me enough to buy anything I want from Sparkfun and I don't want to get canned for trying to score ~$100 worth of goodies. Good luck to you all who dive in there at 9 AM Mountain Time on January 11th, 2012. Here's a link to Sparkfun.

zeke 693
Anyone won anything yet? It looks like it's a lottery or good opportunity to practice your touch typing.
RobG 1,892
Not me. Pointless, I think I will go back to work now.

EngIP 31
At least you only have to type one of the words. Cuts the required typing by half
cubeberg 540
Wohoo! Been trying off and on all day and I finally won a code! Any idea on what I should get?
Fred 453
Congratulations. I've probably entered about 100 captchas today and will probably leave it now.
xpg 127
Congratulations. I've probably entered about 100 captchas today and will probably leave it now. Sounds about the same amount as me. Well, some are lucky and some aren't. Congrats to the people who won.
kenemon 29
They should call it sparknotfun now. I havent been so disappointed in anything so small in along time, in fact i am angry. I spent valuable moments of my life entering nonsensical words over, and over. It was my choice, but %^$* do i regret it. I may never even look at that store again. Was this a psychological experiment?
