It would be nice if you could also break out the serial connection in a line at the end of the board. I was planning on making a B rev board that will have 0.100" holes instead of the DB9 connector and a C rev that doesn't have the RS232 level translator IC. zeke 693 Posted December 22, 2011 Author Share Posted December 22, 2011 I could add in two row of nine 0.100" spaced pins: - The first row would be above U2 (where the logo is) and it would be all nine TTL signals. - The second row between U2 and J1 and it would be all nine RS232 signals. I was thinking you could do it while leaving the serial connector footprint intact, while adding the strip as you mentioned, so that you could use it either way. oPossum 1,083 Posted December 28, 2011 Share Posted December 28, 2011 Did this yesterday. It is a MSP430 in DIP package, Nokia 5110 LCD, 5 buttons, and optional SPI memory chip (EEPROM, FRAM, RAM). All of the onboard I/O is mapped via the header on the left. It is intended to be panel mounted. A Launchpad booster can plug into the back. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
