oPossum 1,083
I ordered 3 on 12/8, and got rev 1.4 So I immediately ordered 3 more on 12/13 and got rev 1.5 Also ordered some 2553 and 2453 just in case I got more 1.4. The 2553 is backordered until 1/14/2012 and the 2452 until 12/28/2011
jim940 28
So you think if I reordered the LP I might get lucky? Mind you my order was done on the 12th. So I still think it might be hit or miss. Jim

jim940 28
Well I still have $20 on my Paypal account. Gave one of the 2 1.4 boards away today. Ordered 2 more, if I don't get v1.5's I'll wait a few weeks before using up the other half of my paypal balance. Jim

pine 140
So it looks like even ordering with TI estore there are two versions shipping concurrently for the same product? From the shipping info mine is from Texas (ver 1.5) Nov 30, 2011 11:07 PM In transit Location LANTAU ISLAND HK Details Package available for clearance Nov 30, 2011 11:07 PM International shipment release Location LANTAU ISLAND HK Nov 30, 2011 4:57 PM At destination sort facility Location CHEK LAP KOK HK Nov 29, 2011 2:33 AM Departed FedEx location Location MEMPHIS, TN Nov 29, 2011 1:18 AM Arrived at FedEx location Location MEMPHIS, TN Nov 28, 2011 8:34 PM Left FedEx origin facility Location FORT WORTH, TX Nov 28, 2011 7:18 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx Nov 28, 2011 5:58 PM Picked up Location FORT WORTH, TX I'd have imagined the classic stock will be exhausted before new ones being shipped.. if both versions are available at the same time it will be a good idea to let us choose when placing order
jim940 28
So it looks like even ordering with TI estore there are two versions shipping concurrently for the same product? From the shipping info mine is from Texas (ver 1.5) Yes they are shipping out of Texas both versions at will. As someone who has done shipping/receiving I know exactly what happened. They have space for 2 boxes out in front of the shelf, and it just depends which one the guy happens to grab till the ones in the back filled with the newer 1.5's end up being the only ones left. Thing is Harte Hanks is the one actually shipping the LP's I think so they probably do not even know that the changes have been made as they are a shipping/direct marketing company not TI itself. Atleast other then manufacturing date, there is no actual reference to the version of the PCB on the boxes. So perhaps the guys shipping them do not even know of the change. Lord knows I've had that happen to me. Jim
RobG 1,892
I think this is TI's evil plot to clear all remaining 1.4 inventory. They used 1.5 as a bait and now everyone is ordering LPs like crazy. In few days all 1.4s will be gone. Just kidding SugarAddict and pine

pine 140
Oh there is marking on the box saying it is 1.5, printed on a label. Not sure about those classic LP shipping currently.
OppaErich 25
Just received three Rev 1.4 boards. :silent:
jim940 28
Oh God, I've got 2 in the mail. I really hope I didn't get more 1.4's ... should be here today. Jim
bluehash 1,581
I'm still surprised as to why everyone is so disappointed when they receive the 1.4 version. The biggest advantage is not having the headers soldered on. The only problem is the UART and that is easily fixed. Also, both the 2452 and 2553 can be ordered free. jim940 28
Well I got 2 today, they were version 1.5s. Bluehash, It is almost more of a excitement thing, sure you can use 1.4's, and sure with some F-F jumpers or other quick fix it would work. But where is the fun in that?
