Ie. program an AVR with the TI UIF? (can they cross fertilize) I asked this question sometime ago. the answer is "NO"! The JTAG interface portion is standard but the software and hardware to the JTAG interface is not. kenemon
bluehash 1,581
So, I asked TI and they said there is some error with the coupon widget. So keep on the look out. It is NOT out of stock and they are working on it.
zeke 693
sold out?? lol. I seriously doubt it. They've gotta have a whole shipping container of these things because they don't sell very well. Most of the time, the local disty gives them away for free to clients who are designing in an MSP430 into their latest widget. This programmer is pure Engineering Candy because it is a tool to convince a design engineer to select TI when he's deciding between an MSP430 and something like an Atmel for his next project. I'm hooked. Are you?

jbremnant 17
Normally, $75 is the price of their TSSOP target boards. This is a good deal. In case anyone who picked this up decides to use it under linux, I wrote my experiences here: http://www.43oh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=814&start=20 Have fun! I was able to program msp430f55x device and other value line chips using this without issues.
