Wiznet WizFi210 Wifi Wirefree Booster Pack

Recommended Posts

MSPI_CS0 is not required. I mean GPIO19(pin #23) is needed.

GPIO19 is used as Host wake up signal(High Active) so I recommend it should be connected to interrupt input pin of MSP430.

Hi jbkim,

Welcome to the Forums.

I was of the impression that SSPI was used for SPI. The SSPI_CS is the chip select. Any reason why the MSPi_CS0 needs to be connected. Isn't that part of the MSPI part of the chip.

Hehe.. jbkim is from Wiznet. He's helping us build the Booster Pack.

Thanks. Will do.

For "Program/run (firmware updates)", switch should be needed but "Command/data", switch is not essential.

It's possible using serial/SPI command.

Jbkim,

Should there be switches for:

- Program/run (firmware updates)

- Command/data

Where's your ground plane? Is it just invisible in that image?

There's a red trace on the top side (?) that appears too close to the top-left five pads of the module. I recommend that you nudge it downwards a smidgen to prevent solder shorts with a misaligned module.

You have 90' corners on several tracks. Two 45' corners would be preferable. Typically, the length of the angled part is 2x track width (ie: track width = 0.010" -> angled part = 0.020" long).

Good job though. It feels good to complete a routing
