bluehash 1,581
I was going to make a simple breadboard which sits on top of the Launchpad. -All LP pins brought out. -Has prototyping holes and VCC/GND lines. -One LED with a solder jumper for power indicator. Anything else you guys would like? I'll post schematics/PCB when I get home.
gordon 229
Throw in a high(er than the 250mA LP) power 3.3V or 3.6V LDO with a standard 2.1mm barrel jack and a jumper to connect it to the LP VCC? bluehash
bluehash 1,581
Accepted. gordon

RobG 1,892
I have one that was never made, if you are interested. It fits on LP and FP, has room for LEDs, but it's missing LDO. bluehash
bluehash 1,581
If you don't mind to share the schematics/PCB, I'll be glad to get it done. I was going to put it in the shop though. I should be able to make space for an LDO and a barrel jack.

TopHatHacker 25
Bluehash, get a chance to work on this? Im trying to get a medium order into dorkbot and it would be nice to fill some of the space with a board like this. I might make up a board like this myself otherwise, but why reinvent the wheel? bluehash 1,581
Sure go ahead and make some. You can take Rob's design(with credit) above.
TopHatHacker 25
Hey RobG, just curious why does this have 12 pin headers?
RobG 1,892
To fit Fraunchpad. bluehash
TopHatHacker 25
aaaahhh wonderful. thanks for the reply, and do the extra pins just dangle off the launchpad? i suppose you don't have to put them in.. that just makes it overhang the buttons... which i've never had a problem with but most people steer clear of covering them up, though i don't know why. and as for Throw in a high(er than the 250mA LP) power 3.3V or 3.6V LDO with a standard 2.1mm barrel jack and a jumper to connect it to the LP VCC? I've been torn, lm319 so you can purchase parts at radio shack? or change to 5v (use launchpad 3.3 and 5v for motors) or a more compact design with more efficient regulator? thoughts? GeekDoc 226
I've been torn, lm319 so you can purchase parts at radio shack? or change to 5v (use launchpad 3.3 and 5v for motors) or a more compact design with more efficient regulator? Having both voltages available is very appealing.
bluehash 1,581
Zeke/Rob .. do you know/experience with any LDOs? I'm planning to use ZLDO1117K33TC. It needs two capacitors(10uF/100uf). Question: That 100uf cap is big, can I use a smaller one?
