The Terminal - 43oh OLED Booster Pack

Recommended Posts

Got one of these for Christmas, my board says it's v1.3 but I see no reference to 1.3 on the Wiki site, seems to work with the 1.2 code though. When will the V1.3 details be available ?

@@rciszek, welcome to the forum. The only difference between v1.3 and v1.2 is that the type of push buttons were changed.

Thanks for your purchase!

I am trying out the v1.1 OLD boosterpack with v1.5 Launchpad/MSP430G2553. When I run the demo from the GWdeveloper library, I see something on the screen but it is scrambled - just a lot of dots. I have checked the solder jumpers and they look as they should do for G2553/USCI (http://doc.43oh.com/File:TheTerminal_oledBoosterpack_MSP430G2553_v1.1.jpg) I have changed the interrupt headers and a couple of other things here and there so I can compile with msp430gcc but otherwise the library is as downloaded from the Boosterpack wiki.

After a bit of poking around, it seems that the screen initializes to a snowstorm. Neither clearScreen() nor any of the graphical routines seems to change the output, but pressing the left button does invert the displayed pixels, pressing the right button changes the contrast, and SW2 on the Launchpad toggles the screen on and off, as they should.

Any suggestions?

@@t0mpr1c3 If you are using @@gwdeveloper's library.. it will scramble a little(lines, not dots) and show a "brain" image.

1. Can you test this on another LP?

2. Anyway you could download a .out file into the LP, since I have ccs.

If nothing works out, I can swap you for another one.
