Fix 1 up for testing.   Since it is just a simple breakout board, it works pretty well.

Final.. I will not try to stuff the board to 50x50mm.

I recently got one of these, but I can't find a lot of information on it. I'm working off the schematic here

So I think I've already figured out my first question, but I'd like some confirmation if anyone knows for sure. It looks like JP2 is what puts the HC05 in master mode since it's connected to PIO11. Is that correct.

The other question is about SJ1. I'm not sure what that symbol is. Maybe a switch? Comparing the schematic to the picture, it looks like the thing in the box with HC05 at the top and HC06 at the bottom. So is this some kind of switch to select whatever module you have? If so, can I just solder the middle and right pads from the picture since I am using HC05?

@@jmprich Welcome to 43oh.

JP2 will allow the master to switch from communication mode or AT mode.

Depending on the module( hc05 or hco6 )  you have, you can solder jump between the two. middle and right for the HC05.

this might seem like a dumb question, but since I haven't worked with surface mount components much I have to ask.  are those 470 resistors 470 ohm, or 47 ohm? because surface mount resistors are labeled 4 7 0 for 47 ohm, and 4 7 1 for 470 ohm.

and as for the "optional" box with R4, C1 and C2, just how optional are those?  Note, I am planning on using an HC06 to make a bluetooth keyboard...

thanks in advance :)
