Very Lucid MSP430 Documentation

Recommended Posts

I recently stumbled across some MSP430 documentation that does not seem to be linked from anywhere on their site. It appears to be rather old, but that is actually rather helpful as it documents just the core features of the MSP430 common to all chips and it is much more readable than the current Family Guides.

There are a few other files in this directory, but nothing particularly noteworthy.

As a preview for those who might not want to download these to look:

The first is an old version of the 3xx family user's guide. I can't speak to it's being more lucid, as that's personal perception. It does come from a time when the devices were much simpler.

The second documents the assembler and linker available for "IBM PC/ATs or 100% Compatible Machines With PC

Thanks for identifying the document. Lucidity is indeed perceptual, as I have spent many hours pouring over slau144 and some of the other family documents. It could seem more lucid because I already know a lot of what is going on now. Nonetheless, I think it it might be a better place for absolute beginners to start.
