chibiace 46
heres a photo of a launchpad i soldered a 14pin zif socket to, also originally i had female headers on the side but changed them to male and put them underneath so as to mount on a breadboard. much faster to program large numbers of chips, now if i only had a 20 pdip socket... jsolarski, bluehash and RobG
RobG 1,892
Did your socket fit in original holes or did you have to drill them? My ZIF has wide pins and doesn't fit. It's also textool, though I think it's a ripoff (on the picture they had 3Ms, the one I got doesn't have 3M logo.)
chibiace 46
this one was a sample from 3M, it fit perfectly though it was a pain to unsolder all the holes, i was slightly concerned it would not fit as the pins are quite wide but anyways no trouble.
