nuetron 64
All of these display modules came from old computers that had turbo buttons (you know, push turbo, turn your 33mhz into a 66mhz). $1.50 each, please specify which one(s). Buyer pays shipping/handling. Will take offers for trade. Each module will come with the appropriate amount of jumpers to light all segments, arranged like the third photo: Back-of-board examples:
jsolarski 94
you by any chance, do you have a 3x 7 seg displays?
nuetron 64
Yes, I do have two, but one has a broken +5v pin on the pcb, and you see the other one working in the last pic. I wasn't wanting to part with them just yet, but I'm open to offers for the one in the pic.
jsolarski 94
if the one with the broken pin can be de-soldered I will take it, for the asking price of the rest, but before i make a commitment are the common anode or common cathode? because i really need a common cathode display

Fe2o3Fish 33
This is NOT what these displays are for!Even if they ARE just road flares! PICT1080.JPG BULL HOCKEY! What stupid people don't know... could save you an a$$-kicking!
nuetron 64
If the one with the broken pin can be de-soldered, I will take it, for the asking price of the rest, but before I make a commitment, are they common anode or common cathode? Because I really need a common cathode display. I'm afraid they are common anode, and they have only one common for all 21 segments. The pin spacing on the display itself is not the usual size for breadboards or ICs, it's smaller. The way this board is shaped, I can desolder the jumpers' ground pins, and then it will fit in a breadboard without any more major modifications, acting like a breakout. Since you need a common cathode, I could include four desoldered HC04's for an extra $1.50. I tried to post a pic of the display board pins, but all that happened was my browser said it was waiting for 43oh. Might be my connection again. Will try again later to add it to this post. nuetron 64
You're sure? I wouldn't want you to have a part laying around that you won't use... If you are sure, do you want me to remove the extra ground pins, so it's easier for you to use right away?
jsolarski 94
It wouldnt sit there unused, i always have other projects that need simple displays.

nuetron 64
Stop tempting me you evil evil man. Now what did I do? :eh: Where the hell is that module from? It was the display in a socket in a VERY old cell phone. Sadly, there was only one in the vanful of parts from the attic of that computer store... I wonder if there are any of those old cellphones on the bay of e? bluehash
