  1. Has anyone worked with TI's CC2540 RF Dongle? I'm trying to use their Bluetooth LE packet sniffer program but it appears to have problems with Windows 10. The quick-start says that when you connect the dongle to the PC's USB port, the "Windows New Hardware Wizard" will appear. But it doesn't. And the sniffer software doesn't see the dongle. No doubt a driver problem but I don't know how to fix it.
  2. Hi, I have an MSP430G2553 board that I need to work with. However, when using Energia, the program usually freezes or becomes extremely slow to the point that I just have to terminate the process and close it. I really doubt it's a code problem, since the only codes I've used have been from the Examples (Blink and AnalogReadSerial). I've tried a couple of things: uninstalling and re-installing drivers, following all the steps in the Windows guide for Energia, re-downloading Energia. But nothing works. The problem is most certainly a communication problem with the board since, upon un
  3. I am trying to connect my MSP432 LP to a WIndows XP computer (having given up on using the Mac due to ongoing USB comms connection problems). I have downloaded and installed the driver package as instructed (XDS110_drivers.zip). The driver installation says it was succesful however when I plug in the LP for the first time, installation of the TI debug probes driver(s) fail. The comm ports drivers install correctly. During the driver installation these messages are shown: "Cannot Install the Hardware There was a problem installing this hardware: XDS110 (02.02.04.00) with CMSIS-DAP
  4. Hi, I'm running Energia on Windows 7 x64. My Launch Pad model is the MSP-EXP430F5529LP (25Hz) My board's green LED will light up when connecting to the computer, the red LED will flash while compiling and all onboard LEDs and buttons function when programed. However, whenever I try to program output pins and connect the output in question to ground, I get no current out. I have plenty of experience with Arduino and all programs I write for the Launch Pad work for Arduino. The GND, 5V and 3.3V pins on the LaunchPad all work fine. I have also used a number of sample programs, all to no
  5. I'm currently working on cross platform build tool named PlatformIO. It has pre-built MSP430 GCC toolchain & mspdebug for Mac, Linux 32/64 & Windows OS. 1. How often do you use external standalone toolchain to build your code? In which case? 2. What is your favourite IDE+Toolchain? 3. What would you like to have in paltformio tool? Thanks a lot for answers! P.S: The main idea of this tool is to compile code with different platforms. See Wiring Framework (Arduino + Energia) Blink Example.
  6. Can I use gdb to debug programs on the Stellaris (or Tiva) Launchpad under Windows? If so, where do I find the instructions on how to set it up? I find lots of things for using gdb under Linux, or even under cygwin, but somehow I am missing the bit about how to use gdb with the launchpad under windows. (I have used CCS for debugging, but dealing with a larger project here with its own build system would be a bit of a bother to try to convert it to CCS, and the problem might even be gcc specific.) Figure I am probably either missing the obvious, or trying to do something that can't b
  7. [ ADMIN - Please see this thread by admin and response by thread author about mod updates. ] NOTE: This is NOT the official Energia release. Report here the problems you find using this mod. Don't nag anyone else. ____________________________________________ Hello there! this is a tweaked Energia IDE (Arduino version here), don't lose time setting up anything, Java or the drivers, just use this fully automated installer. Plus, you get a improved experience (and extra time to think in sending me a little tip ) Download (2013-02-09): Soon? maybe? http://static.themetapicture.com/m
