I'm currently working on cross platform build tool named PlatformIO. It has pre-built MSP430 GCC toolchain & mspdebug for Mac, Linux 32/64 & Windows OS. 1. How often do you use external standalone toolchain to build your code? In which case? 2. What is your favourite IDE+Toolchain? 3. What would you like to have in paltformio tool? Thanks a lot for answers! P.S: The main idea of this tool is to compile code with different platforms. See Wiring Framework (Arduino + Energia) Blink Example.
Hey guys, I just recently got my ubuntu laptop set-up to work with my launchpad but I ran into a couple of minor issues. Thanks to another member of this forum (Elimpnick) I got all my stuff up and running. That being said, I decided to conjure up a quick and dirty little script that would help anyone else going through the same thing. - The script installs the summon-arm-toolchain, lm4tools and the D2XX driver needed to work with CC5. - The script downloads everyting in ~/stellaris you can find the script here: http://code.google.com/p/stellaris-launchpad-installation-script It was tested on a linux mint 14 machine and If you have any issues let me know. later, J
Hi, what do people suggest to use for debugging on Mac OSX when writing programs in Energia? Is using MSPDebug with the embedded msp430-gcc the best way to go? Or is perhaps a more complete solution like bsp430 a better way to go, with more controllable makefiles, etc? Cheers, H
