Hi, I’m trying to get my MSP-EXP430FR5969 (or preferably MSP-EXP430F5529) to work with BOOSTXL-SHARP128 at a few uA when it is not selected or being written to, i.e. when it’s idle. My MSP430s consume only a fraction of a uA in lowest power mode, but as soon as I add myScreen.begin() to setup(), it all goes crazy. In my sketch (below), I have set all ports as outputs to ensure there are no floating inputs. This reduces current consumption from several hundred uA to ~160 uA. I then connected my BOOSTXL-SHARP128 to my MSP-EXP430FR5969 via jumper wires to LCD_DISP, LCD_CD, SPI_CLK, SPI_
I wanted to measure energy usage vi the Code Composer Studio's EnergyTrace feature. Documentation says I needed to get an MSP-EXP430FR5969. So I ordered one from Mouser and then noticed that the documentation on the Energia site said that revision 1.2 of the board wasn't suppported by Energia but that version 2.0 was supported. So, is there any way to update the board from 1.2 to 2.0 apart from just ordering an updated one? Thanks for your help, Curtis
The MCP3008 is an easily used 10bit, 8 channel, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) Analog to Digital Converter. I created an Energia library that can be found here and used to read any of the eight pins with a single call. Conversion is done for voltages between 0 and 3.3 V, including on the CC3200, and results in a integer reading between 0 and 1023. This library is for single ended operation only and uses hardware SPI. An example is included that demonstrates reading from all 8 channels. Tested with Energia 0101E0016 on the following LaunchPads * CC3200-LAUNCHXL Rev 4.1 (80 MH
