I have been developing a project this past 3 months in which i have to add a third-party development board, i have successfully mapped all pins of that board and programmed it using a TI MSP-FET for debugging purpose, the micro controller used on the board is a msp430f5438a. My actual problem is that i have to be able to program the board using a simple usb cable, the micro controller already has a bootloader but, to be able to communicate with it i have to be able to add some code lines to the makefile that runs on Energia when it compiles the sketch. I have noticed that the makefile that is located on the hardware folder is not being run when it compiles, i tested this by deleting it from the app itself, and trying to compile the code, it compiled with no errors. What code is the application running to compile it then? Is the compilation code hidden, do i have access to it? Note: I tested altering the Makefile located in the hardware/common directory and it did gave me a compilation error but only for the launchpad w/ cc3200 EMT, guess the makefile that runs to compile code for the launchpad w/ msp430f5529 is somewhere. I appreciate all type of info you can give me, thanks in advance.
Hello, I downloaded a specific branch of energia from the tree, https://github.com/energia/Energia/tree/Sharp_LCD_update unzipped the file, changed dir to build directory, and after making sure that all dependencies and tools are installed issued: ant and then run with ant run well, it took a lot of time, but I got it running. I got the following questions: 1. how can I build a dist, so I dont have to ant run everytime, but just run it as regular energia 2. When I tried to run the Sharp LCD example, It was unable to find SPI.h, I am suspecting this is due to the fact that I am using "ant run" to run energia, and directories are not in the right place. 3. This LCD update branch it appears is Energia 15 not 16 - which branch do I need to download and compile and run so I can get my MSP432 LP working with the Sharp LCD screen Best Regards, C.A.
