  1. Hi All, I'm new to the forum, and fairly new to developing for TI chips, that being said I've played about in TI-RTOS for the SensorTag. I am trying to build a low power sub-GHz network, and as such I've got hold of some CC1310 LaunchPads, and I'd love to use Energia for my project. Can someone please explain how to put this board into any or each of the different low power modes it has? I've tried using the Sleep() command, but the compiler tells me it's not defined, and when I measure the power of the LaunchPad board during a Delay() command I'm seeing several mA. If I can get th
  2. Am I missing something obvious? To save power I want to run this processor at 1 MHz so I amended the boards.txt in Energia 18 as follows: (see below, the second half). The sketch does work at 8MHz and 16MHz. An related question is this: where is F_CLK specified in an Energia sketch imported into CCStudio? I am a noob to Energia, but have more than a little experience designing and writing interrupt-driven C code for msp430f2013, as well as some time spent with the value line devices. I am working on a personal project with the F5529, connecting to a GPS (the adafruit ultimate BOB), an Iridium 9602 Sat-Comm device (sparkfun RockBlock), and a cap touch TFT LCD (have worked with both the adafruit 2.8" BOB and a www.buydisplay.com version of same).   5. For low power application (in our case a standalone RedBear Micro with CC3200 on solar cells) it would be desirable to limit transmission power of the 3200 to the minimum necessary. According to the TI datasheet, this could reduce power consumption for transmit from 229mA to ~140mA. Is there any API approach to do this ? ( Would reduction of the M0 clock rate reduce power, too, and if yes, how could it be done ?) Thanks
  6. I was wondering if anybody has been able to get LPM modes working with Energia EMT and the MSP432. I have tried a few things, but have been unsuccessful in lowering the current draw of the MSP432. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

  9. Hi guys, For my final year project I'm going to be doing some embedded development related to "the internet of things". The specs aren't fully formed yet but it'll be mcu+sensors+wifi+maybe some actuators. At the moment I've been doing some research on components, and was wondering if I could get some of your input? So for wifi connectivity I'm looking at the CC3000 and RN-171, and currently favouring the CC3000. I was wondering if anyone worked with either of these chips, and what they thought about them?
