  1. Hi All, I am working on a project using the CC1310 LaunchPad, and it will be powered directly from a 3V (nominally) battery. I want to use the ADC to accurately read the voltage from one of my sensors, and the problem that I am having is that the reference seems to be relating to the voltage the LaunchPad is running from. I have tried using analogReference(), but it wont compile with the parameter INTERNAL1V5, and when i try INTERNAL2V5 it does compile, but it still seems to be using the battery voltage as the ADC reference. Please can someone explain how I can get a stable vol

  5. Hello , i finished my project and now i want do work the MSP430 G2553 standalone (without the Launchpad). It works with 3 ultra bright LEDs and are stored under the case of a lamp box with plexiglass. What kind of batteries would you recommend me to hold those 3,3V for the longest time? Or just tell me how you are driving your MSP430 standalone? Thanks !
  6. Hi Guys, My name is Nathan. I've lurked around here on 43oh a bit, but this is my first official post. I've been working with the MSP430FR5969 for several months now and I've quickly grown to really like it. It seems to me TI's FRAM processors should really be getting more exposure for battery powered development in both professional and maker communities. To that end - I was hoping to get some feedback on a product idea. We've packaged the FR5969 into a tiny coin-cell powered module. The module can operate as a stand-alone processor or it can plug into an UNO-form-factor breakout

I have debian distro running on BBB and have installed a LCD4 cape and an external battery (per http://www.element14.com/community/community/knode/single-board_computers/next-gen_beaglebone/blog/2013/08/10/bbb--rechargeable-on-board-battery-system) Question is, how does one go about shutting down BBB and LCD4? Executing halt command (via ssh) or pressing power button does shut the processor down but not the voltage rails to the LCD4 and backlight stays on. Suggestions appreciated. ~C

There's a few threads on MSP430 audio playback and they've prompted me to wonder what's the best way to actually play the audio (i.e. drive a speaker, piezo) for a simple battery-powered kid's toy? A lot of stuff I can find on audio generation stops at the output to an amplifier.   10. Greetings, If I remember correctly the MSP430G2553 allows you to read ADC channel 11 to get the value for VCC. I use code on my arduino boards, as well as the ATTiny chips to read the battery voltage so that I can monitor it. Anybody have any idea of the same sort of thing is possible on the StellarPad?
