only thing I can think of is shared ground among same hub usb ports perhaps. try both on 2 separate computers and see what happens?

Why not use two boards? Inset SMD leds and solder on the back side of a thicker rear board the same shape as a front board.  The front board is thin, has black mask and white lettering.  Could even cap touch the front board to change the leds on the back.  If there's a small space in there and some diffusion, it would illuminate the letters

I don't see how this price increase did jack shit for TI as Mouser is at $12.80, Digikey is at 10.37, and Newark is at $10.  Shipping on top of all of them...  So far I think the only place I've seen left to get them at the old price (and -2 cents) is the redirect from Arrow, Chip1Stop but they only have ~130 left (and really only Japan or nearby... Check their shipping rates :-) rofl ).  So when TI will still be the cheapest distributor of these and people buy... from TI... where is the gain in all of this? Still looks/feels like screwing over the community when everyone prices the same or higher as TI does.  Why would I buy from anyone else and pay shipping when TI is a FLAT $10?  I'm not even sure how Mouser figures out it's pricing, but that's f'n stupid.

I just set this up in the garage... after owning it for 2-3 weeks :-X (busy busy busy)... It worked amazing on the first test.  Found the depth I'll use pretty easily.  Now to just thread two holes in some spare delrin I've got and make the guide bar solid so there isn't that stupid hole in it.

It will add them automatically if you use the net tool, do not use the wire tool unless you are manually connecting something it doesn't ratsnest for you.

After finally getting off my butt to go to the post office, this lovely package was waiting for me.
Even better... it's slightly LaunchPad coloured :-)

The guy is kinda annoying, but he has a bunch of tutorial videos for Eagle that are worth watching.  Here's the one relevant to this here...

I can make this recipe all year round... I use corn syrup from restaurant supply shops, it's a LOT thicker than that stuff you get in the grocery store.. and it comes in 5 gallon buckets (43 DE).
 
plenty of wax paper on the counter top near the mixing area
3 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup corn syrup
2 or 3 egg whites (I tend to do this one by experience... If you use eggs much you'll notice some have more egg white than others. If you get a lot of egg white out of 2 eggs, that's "ok", if you get some but not a lot... use 3, if you're not sure, use 3.)
touch of salt (I do two twists on the salt grinder with a very fine setting)
 
Bring corn syrup, water, and sugar to a boil, 250

Boards are assembled, now on to the base and the controller.

After 16 hours on the plane, I am now in LA.. Merry Christmas..

Came home and there was this monstrously huge box on the porch... Roomie ordered more ammo bins. Woot woot... kicked that in through the door and what was hidden under that box?... a Sparkfun box!  Guessing it came from this, since I didn't order it  :thumbup:
 

 
Never used one of these to clean my iron, always had the wet sponge.  Looking forward to trying it out.  Flux pen... and more solder paste, yay!  PentiumPC, you rock
