  1. I have both of v1.3 and v1.4 version LP's and I have found a wiki page about updating eZ430. I've updated my LP's using FET430 UIF and now both of LP's, programing F5x devices too fast. And after the programming Flash(Quick Download in IAR, without Debug) the Reset button is works. In the older revision, I have to unplug and plug the LaunchPad for running the downloaded code. I strongly recommend it Specifications of eZ430 Firmware V30394216 Release Date: 11/09/2011 Supported Features: LPMx.5 debug support( if device supports this) FRAM memory technology support FR5739 MPU handl
  2. Hello, Can you help me about ks0108 library written for MSP430 ? I've searched it but i can't find any information in this forum. Thanks.
  3. The reason I want to use the Comparator_A : Need to finish this project by using less material as possible. If I like transistor solution, won't be any changes. If I don't like it, seems to use an op-amp Thanks.
  4. @RobG, Thanks for the code and schematics. But in my project, the Schmitt Triggers wouldn't work in Ports. According to the G2553 Datasheet : 0 -> 0.75v , 1 -> 1.35v. I want to detect at least 100mV level. Therefore, the comparator also seems to be useless. But i will try the code. For now I solved this problem as follows;
  5. Does anyone have any idea about it ?
  6. Well, I am trying about 3 days for the issue of programming of F5438A device... :x I think this problem is also considered a hard-way-lesson for me
  7. Do you have a source for this information handy? I've been battling similar problems with the interesting twist being SugarAddict seeing kinda-sorta different behaviour on the exact same (production run) board. Smallest I tried was .1uF I think (also the LP schematics indicate LP uses 1nF, not really sure what was I thinking, but I'd like to read up on this now ). Yes. FET430 wire pinout(SBW) explain that BTW I have tested with 1nF capacitor too. Works
  8. Can you help me how to program to F5438A device with LaunchPad ? I tried it but I got an error message as below. Thanks. The problem was solved. This is a hardware problem as you see the scheme below. The upper limit for RST capacitor is 2.2nF. I changed to 100nF with 2.2nF capacitor. And LaunchPad successfully download and debug the MSP430F5438A device.
  9. Hello, How can I implement a Comparator_A+ based Schmitt Trigger ? I am trying to generating 1v(Vpp) sinus to 0 - 3v square wave using Comparator_A+ module(MSP430G2553). Like this; Thanks.
  10. Thanks RobG. Layout looks good Is it possible to start a group buy ? Best.

  13. Thanks. I think the majority of forum members are using the CCS. I am using the IAR IDE. I wonder : CCS or IAR most useful ? Best.
  14. Great Work. Just a question : Which compiler and IDE are you using ? Best
  15. Thanks for the answers. I will going to order it
  16. _BIS_SR(LPM3_bits + GIE); TACTL = TASSEL_2 + MC_1; // SMCLK, up mode You must to set the timer_a parameter before going to sleep. And while in LPM3 mode, SMCLK will not be active. In LPM3 mode, only ACLK(32.768kHz or VLO) active. If you use SMCLK, you must to change the LPM3 to LPM0. If you use ACLK, you must select TASSEL_1 bit. You can try this; ACLK in LPM3 TACTL = TASSEL_1 + MC_1; // ACLK, up mode _BIS_SR(LPM3_bits + GIE); SMCLK in LPM0 TACTL = TASSEL_2 + MC_1; // ACLK, up mode _BIS_SR(LPM0_bits + GIE);
  17. seems to be cheap and shoddy :? Eh. I doubt it will make a difference No, it really does matter. The higher the quality of the breadboard, the less frustration and agony you will experience using it. That was exactly what I mean.
  18. You can use port interrupts. While the microcontroller in sleep mode if an interrupt generated(ie pushing a button) code brances the interrupt rutine. Check this code, //Pull-down resistors and port interrupts are enabling. P1IE = BIT3; P1REN = BIT3; P1OUT = BIT3; P1IFG = 0x00; . . . CCTL1 = OUTMOD_7; CCR0 = 110-1; CCR1 = 10; _BIS_SR(LPM3_bits + GIE); } #pragma vector=PORT1_VECTOR __interrupt void port1_isr(void) { if(P1IFG & BIT3) { CCR1+=10; // duty cycle = duty cycle + 10 P1IFG = 0x00; } } When you push the P1.3 button the duty cycle increases.   19. You can find these informations in datasheet(Page 33). Link : http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/msp430f149 For the XT2 osc, you can use 10 - 12pF capacitor for 32.768 kHz and 20 - 22pF for 8 MHz crystal. I don't know any calculation formula but you can review other schematics esipecialy F149 microcontroller. One of them : http://www.olimex.com/dev/msp-h149.html
