  1. I have created a program that allows me to dim the on board LED on the MSP430 via the serial monitor of Energia, my problem is that I would like the serial monitor to recognize decimal input rather than ASCII, has anyone got any tips or pointers with regards to achieving this? Thanks in advance!
  2. Sorry I am still getting my head around this. So I am looking at the example code you have linked and I feel I have correctly integrated my input from the serial. Now I am wondering if there is a way I can make the serial monitor read/ convert decimal values into ASCII rather than me enterting ASCII values? Thanks very much for your help, it is much appreciated! Here is my code so far
  3. I have recently been working through a book that was recommended on this forum (Getting Started with the MSP430 Launchpad) and I have just completed a project within the book in which you produce a sketch that allows you to use the serial monitor to toggle the on board red and green LED's off and on. Now that I have learnt how to use the serial monitor to send commands to the board what I would really like to be able to do is to determine the brightness of one of the on board LED's by typing in a number into the serial monitor, i.e. 1 = dim 100 = brighter. Has anyone any suggestions on where I could look to get some tips about doing this or could any give me any pointers? I am running Energia 15 on Windows 7, 64 Bit. Thanks in advance!
