  1. For anyone who runs into this issue where the debugger seemingly freezes executing a Serial line of code, I seem to have moved past the issue by going into the project settings and then selecting the Debug configuration section and checking the boxes for "Reset the target on a program load or restart" and "Restart the target on a symbol load as well as a program load." With those options selected, I can now debug through an application without issues.
  2. Just a heads up for anyone interested, but the current EthernetWebserver.ino file for the LM4F on GitHub has some issues. The biggest is that the newConnection flag is a global variable and never gets reset to true after being set to false for the first time. To fix the issue, either move the newConnection declaration into the loop() function before the while() loop statement or add a line of code before the while() loop that sets the newConnection variable to true.
  3. Just following up on this a bit. If I try to step through the code, I seem to run into the issues where the debugger and/or application stops working as soon as I step over a line of code that references the Serial library. If I let the application run, everything appears to work without a problem. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the exact cause of the issue. I have the feeling it's one of those problems that appears to be caused by one thing, but is really an issue with something else.
  4. I'm trying to use a CCS Energia project with a Tiva C Connected to communicate over both serial and ethernet. I used an example project from the forums that works in the standalone Energia project, but will not work with a CCS Energia project. The code is below. #include <SPI.h> #include <Ethernet.h> byte mac[] = { 0x90, 0xA2, 0xDA, 0x0D, 0x47, 0xE3 }; byte ip[] = { 192, 168, 1, 177 }; byte server[] = { 64, 233, 171, 113 }; // Google IP EthernetClient client; void setup() { delay(1000); Serial.begin(9600); Serial.println("starting simple arduino client test");
