  1. The WS2812 use 5 of the 6 pins (one of them is disconnected), and 2 of them are for Vdd. The WS2812B has 4 pins, so it's a little simpler. They're essentially the same chip, although according to my spec sheets, the 'protocol' timing is a little different, but the same library should be able to be used for both.
