  3. haha....I love to geek out with complex architectures to solve problems, and think your idea has merit...and of course anyone in the community is welcome to develop anything that works with LightServer. My initial concept was to develop something anyone can use, and to make the setup as simple as possible. I also wanted it to be stable and without any bits that can easily break. Anyone can use a mobile app.

Also, only half the effects are available (lots of new mood lighting ones are only available in the app), it is not so easy to use, as you need to type in an IP address, which you need to find.   7. I've just made available an example whose code could be used in various application that use REST APIs and OAuth authentication. It uses the HTTP Client Library that comes with the CC3200 SDK 1.1.0 and TI-RTOS for SimpleLink. All code is in C. It performs the following steps:- Obtains the current time from a SNTP server (this is required by TLS encyrption) Obtain the OAuth 2.0 Authentication token from the Telstra API using HTTP GET over a secure TLS connection Send an SMS message using the Telstra SMS API using HTTP POST over a secure TLS connection There are many more details on

  10. Just letting the group know about a recent announcement by Microsoft for technology to work with Arduino, that look like it should work for Energia. Windows Remote Arduino - This uses the Firmata Sketch, so should be simple to use and set up with Energia using the Standard Firmata Library This allows you to use a relatively cheap Windows Phone to simply control a development board.   19. Not sure it is a Wifi, I think it is the transformer (Pulse HX1188NL) for the Ethernet, as can be seen on the TM4C129 Development Kit (dk-tm4c129x). See image here I would be very happy if it was the rumoured CC3100, that has recently been accidently announced, as discussed in this forum post, but with it being black, I don't expect this to be the case as Wifi modules are usually covered in metal.   20. Milad, You haven't mentioned what is the USB Class and possibly Sub-Class of the device you are communicating with. This is essential to know as Tivaware only comes with certain drivers for certain devices, if they don't have one for your device, you will need to write it yourself, otherwise it will not successfully enumerate the device with the Tivaware USB Host or Device stack. Also, you have not really mentioned if your device is acting as a Host or Device in the communication.   21. Well done!!! What a great achievement. For anyone thinking of using the Energia Framework to develop, I strongly suggest you check out the work Rei has done with embedXcode. Developing without debug features is like typing with one hand, sure you can do it, but it will take a lot longer. With embeddXcode you now get both hands to program your projects. And you also get auto-complete/code-complete/intellisense .... Very nice. Glenn

  23. When none of the examples or supplied drivers cover what you are trying to do, it gets very tricky. You basically will need to develop your own custom driver, which is one of the more difficult things a developer ever has to do. What sort of device are you trying to connect to? I am not sure on your level of expertise, but even if you are pretty experienced, you are going to have to set a few weeks aside for this task. To start off, I'd recommend you select the closest example to your device and then altering the code till you can get it working. If you have some money to spend on this
  24. Hi Bala, Not sure I could explain the above in any more detail than has already been explained.....anyone else willing to give it a go? As for USB Host, there are really no short cuts. You need to understand how USB works and you need to understand the USB Library that comes with the Tiva C. To understand USB, I recommend this resource - http://www.beyondlogic.org/usbnutshell/usb1.shtml To understand the USB Library, you will find a bunch of examples that come with Tivaware and you will also need to read the Tivaware USB Library User Guide.   25. I am developing a product that in prototype form uses the Tiva C LaunchPad and the CC3000BOOST. I have managed to work out a way I can use these 2 components to create a commercial ready beta product. Of course I would like to create my own board that includes all the relevant bits and pieces, but before I go to that effort I am considering releasing a product based on these components so I can gauge the response to the product. So I am wondering if anyone is aware of any alternatives to the Tiva C LaunchPad, particular ones that are cheaper to purchase in volume. And if any one readin
