    This is a LiPo BoosterPack I have been working during my downtime . I named it Booster since it is a power pack  ;-) This should be perfect for  wireless projects or for those times you need to be away from a PC.
     
    First, features:
    * USB connector for charging
    * Sits over the MSP430 Launchpad and below the Stellaris/C2000 Launchpad with pass-through(excluding inner row for C2000/Stellaris) for all pins including power. 
    * Switch to turn power on/off when in battery mode. When shutdown via a switch, power consumption by the LDO is 0.1uA typical.
    * Charges LiPo battery to 4.2V. Support for one cell.
    * Onboard LDO Microchip MCP1252. Provides 3.3V, 120mA output. 
    * Lipo charger is based around Microchip MCP73831
    * Charge status LED
    * Spans the length of the Launchpad to accommodate different LiPo battery sizes.
     
    The battery needs to be charged through the Booster's USB connector, as there is no way I can pass 5v from the Launchpad to the Booster board. The battery does charge when the usb connector is plugged in. I tested it using the OLED board when connected to the USB port. Also, stacking headers are used for stacking boosterpacks.
     
    I'm having trouble with the charge status LED. It still remains on when the battery reaches 4.2v... still some debugging to do. I have 8 PCBs which I can give away at cost in a GB. If anyone is interested , let me know. I have a few extra batteries too.
     
    Battery vendors:
    Any 3.7v LiPo should work.
    Syma S107 3.7V, 240mA

    This is my somewhat crazy networked controlled bi-color LED matrix build:
     

     

     
    It’s build around the TI TLC59281 as current sink column controller and a shift-register and PNP transistors as row controllers (and current source). I am using two TLC59281s one for red and one for green. Each sink controls two 8x8 LED matrix displays such that the rows of the two matrices are common. An NXP LPC1114 controls these two displays and is itself controlled via a simple SPI-protocol. The LPC1114 is running at 50MHz and updates the two led-matrices completely around 50 times a second and has 6-bit color depth per color (i.e 12-bit colors). It receives commands from the SPI bus at 1MHz, and allows the SPI bus to be shared amongst multiple display controllers. Each controller is assigned an area of the total “screen space” and simply ignores draw operations outside of this space.

    The Stellaris Launchpad runs lwIP and has a simple web server that accepts simple draw commands (put single pixel, put multiple pixels, clear). I’ve written a simple JavaScript HTML page that allows the LED matrix to be controlled from a web browser. Currently, the web-page is not served by the Stellaris Launchpad, but I'm working on that one (should be quite straight forward). I am supplying my LED Matrix PCB with 5V directly from an USB power adapter. Unfortunately, the PNPs on the PCB feed the matrix the same voltage as the TLC59281s and the 74HC595, so the ICs are running off 5V as well, which wasn't the plan at all :-)

    I want to thank all of you that made this hobby so enjoyable. 
    The massive amount of info that you guys put out in this and other forums is amazing.
     
    Sometime, I ask very stupid and elementary questions, I am a hobbyist, so I can only invest little time to research and learn on the things that I am tinkering on. 
     
    Every project is a learning experience, I pick things that interest me to learn, to many of us, it is just fun, you guys are just like a mentor or teacher,  I just dont have the brains or time to learn but guys are patient and always offer more than what is needed.
     
    Many like me don't have engineering background but love to tinker with stuff since young. You might not realise it, but the little code snippet that you put out might just tip me over from giving up to successful project.

    I got it working by changing Pins as suggested by Rob and by adding your line
     
    #define HARDWARE_SPI Although the existing file structure didnt seem to exactly match your description. Different version ?
    I dropped it in @ line 69.
     
    Just FYI.....This is the working code after editing

    You are correct, if you got your board directly from me, then touch chip select is on P2.2

    Yes, the 43oh on the screen is done with touch. Pressing Quit on the red box exits.
     
    Which LaunchPad are you using: MSP430 or Stellaris-based?
     
    Which kind of SPI are you using: hardware or software?
     
    By default, hardware SPI is selected. The switch is done line 81 of LCD22_Touch.h

    Software SPI works fine for the screen but there's an issue with the shiftIn() function used in getTouch(). So touch doesn't work with software SPI. 
     
    Now, hardware SPI should work fine for both the screen and the touch.  
     
    Try using a greater divider for the hardware SPI, for example SPI_CLOCK_DIV8 or SPI_CLOCK_DIV16 on line 131 and 138 of LCD22_Touch.cpp:
     SPI.setClockDivider(SPI_CLOCK_DIV16); as the touch controller's clock has to be lower than 2 MHz.
     
     
    On the StellarPad only, there's a trick to have the rectangle displayed completely. The last command for the screen seems to be lost when polling the touch controller.

    Hello Everyone.. Barring a few unfortunate people, I know most of you have your Stellaris Launchpads with you. It would be nice if you could post what you are doing with it or in the process of a project.
     
    I'll make a post shortly.. I'm interfacing the Stellaris Launchpad to the WizFi210 wifi chip. The boosterpack will be $5. Stay tuned!

    I'd go easy on these things on USB ports.
    I measured my 60LED strip at a bit over 2 amps of 5v (with a cheap multimeter) with all 60 at 255.
    Some USB port fuses are that size or less, and are one-time fuses. Don't want to kill your USB ports!  (USB2 ports are rated for 500ma. USB3 ports are rated at 1500ma)
    These are hungry little things.
     
     
    On the topic of another GB, I want two more meters, at least.

    I'm pretty sure its non conductive. I've used it pretty liberally on some circuits and it has been ok.

    Thank you for the Stellaris support, but when I try to upload "Blink" I keep getting "Cannot run program "E:\ENERGI~1\HARDWARE\TOOLS\LM4F\BIN\arm-none-eabi-g++" CreateProcess error=2 File not found".
     
     
    EDIT: Fixed this by renaming energia's folder from "energia-0101E0009" or so to "ener9", name seems to be an issue. Fix this please or note somewhere that folder name can't be longer than 6 characters.
